Spring is finally here! Its the time of year when we eagerly wait to switch from winter/fall blacks, browns, mustards to a colorful and brighter wardrobe. Spring 2019 is much more than the regular pastels , this year its all about bold and bright hues!
Each season, Pantone Color Institute creates the seasons most important fashion color palette. This Spring they came up with 12 standout colors that are uplifting and joyful hues that inspires confidence.
I love to incorporate colors in my looks as I relate colors to happy vibes and a medium of expressing my playful self.
Nothing would say more spring this year than a bright, joyful hue! So why not take a break from our wardrobe neutrals and play with colors.
I have created an inspiration board with 5 WOW colors that will help you refresh your wardrobe with trendy and chic colors.
#1 Living Coral : Pantone has announced Living Coral as the color of the year 2019. You can choose to go as brighter or as pale based on what suits best to your skin tone. Coral looks great on warmer light skin tones. However, if you feel this hue is not for you - try it as a pop color in a small amount to create an interesting look for spring.
#2 Lemon Verbena: This sunny yellow color is definitely going to cheer you up! You can choose to wear this gorgeous color in different shades like pale yellow, bright yellow or mustard yellow based on your personal coloring.
Yellow is a fun color and everyone can create stunning statement looks by pairing yellow with blue, pink, green, black and gray.
#3 Sweet Lilac : Though this lighter shade of purple is popular around spring season and easter, this endearing pink infused lavender is one of the spring color that can look trendy this season. To keep it fuss free or stay away with its association with bridesmaid color go for more mod silhouettes and bold textures. You can also pair it with denims, sneakers or mix it with blacks and grays.
#4 Neon Greens: Spring fashion trend 2019 took a bolder turn by introducing these fun, vibrant neon colors. Wear this color in your accessories or use it to create more sporty looks. Not so fan of neons ? - bring in a tinted green or apple green for wow effect.
#5 Neutral Beige Head to Toe: Don’t think of it as a boring neutral look — head to toe neutrals is really getting popular this season. Add more layers in different textures and fabrics to make the look interesting. Or create your entire outfit mix-matching different shades of neutral - beige, cream, ivory, blush and tan.
Hope this serves as an inspiration to bring in some spring colors into your wardrobe!
